Access and facilities
Please note that there is no lift in the building.
Only a spiral staircase is available for access to higher floors (to the Treasury, the Panorama Hall and the Dome). There are 60 steps up to the Treasury, 120 to the Panorama Hall, and 400 to the Dome.
The crypt can be accessed by wider stairs.
During services visitors are allowed to enter the Treasury, the Panorama Hall and the Dome through King's Gate on the west side of the Cathedral.
Weather conditions can influence the opening times of the Dome.
For wheelchair users a ramp is available at the north entrance on the right side of the Cathedral. Opening the door can be requested by telephone on +36 33 402 354/11 or from our colleague on duty.
Lavatories are situated in the South Bell Tower, at the Tourist Information Centre.
The use of cameras or video equipment is not allowed in the Treasury.
Please refrain from using mobile phones in the Cathedral.
Please note, that the Cathedral is the place of daily worship and prayer. In order to keep respectful atmosphere in the Cathedral shirts without sleeves are not permitted, shorts and women skirts must be at least knee-length.
